How can I make a video of my dog talking?
Take a clear photo of your dog, add a spoken line, wait a couple of minutes, then download the clip. You do not film the dog. For a song instead of speech, use the singing guide.
1. Photo
Use a still photo of your dog facing you. The face should be in focus and the mouth visible.
- Get down to their eye level
- A treat held by the lens helps them look at you
- Short-nosed breeds need a straight-on shot
- Fur over the muzzle is worth brushing aside
2. Audio
Add a spoken line. Record it, type it, or upload a short file. Keep it between 2 and 30 seconds.
- Typed text is limited to 500 characters
- A short sentence is easier to follow than a long speech
- MP3, WAV, M4A, and AAC all work
- Listen to the preview before you continue
3. Wait
The clip is built from the photo and the audio. Most are ready in two to three minutes.
- Typical wait is about one to three minutes
- Shorter audio finishes sooner
- You do not need to keep the tab in the foreground
4. Download
Save the MP4 when it is ready. That file is the finished video.
- The download is a standard MP4
- Length matches the audio you supplied
- A free clip may carry a watermark
